Here’s What’s New at Swiftly

Swiftly

At Swiftly, we’re constantly adding new features so that you can provide high-quality transit service to your community. Here’s a rundown of four new features we’ve added into the Swiftly Dashboard.

1. Agency Service Check

Want to quickly assess the health of your transit data? Simply click “Service Check” under your agency’s name on the Swiftly homescreen to check inputs like your latest GTFS intake and average AVL ping frequency.

2. Searching by Vehicle ID in Live Map

You can now instantaneously locate any vehicle in your fleet in real time with Swiftly’s Vehicle ID Search. Combined with our arrival predictions by stop, transit operators can now immediately answer “where’s my bus” inquiries.

3. Last GPS Ping in Live Map

Stale real-time information doesn’t do you much good. Now you can see when your vehicle last reported its GPS information through our vehicle pop up, down to the second, to easily catch latency issues.

Easily see the most recent GPS ping so you can catch latency issues if they ever arise.

4. GPS Timestamps & Vehicle Speed in GPS Playback

Find a vehicle’s speed and location down to the second in Swiftly’s GPS Playback module. Each vehicle is searchable by route or number, illustrating the vehicle’s headsign, headway, speed, and location for service reviews and validations. Pro tip: you can also use the keyboard right and left arrows to play or rewind.
